Subaru Impreza WRX STI 380S Production

Unveiled at this week’s British Motor Show in London alongside the Impreza WRX-S 255PS and WRX STI 330S, the WRX STI 380S Prodrive concept is Subaru’s hardest incarnation of the Impreza to date. And the good news is that the Japanese carmaker is actually thinking of putting it into production before the end of the year.

Subaru working on 375HP Impreza WRX STI

Subaru will display three new special edition Impreza WRX vehicles at this week’s London Motor Show, including a brand new concept version dubbed the WRX STI 380S. The car’s name refers to its 380 metric horsepower rating, which translates to a final output of 375hp (280kW), and depending on its reception at the London event could enter limited production within six months.

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX gets MUCH more power

Some one at NASIOC forums has posted what seems to be a leaked memo from Subaru of America towards the company’s dealers revealing scorching details on the 2009 Subaru Impreza. The most important news is that the 2009 Impreza WRX gets a significant boost with the revised 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine delivering an estimated 265 Hp. That’s an additional 41 ponies over the 2008 Impreza WRX’s 224 Hp engine (pictured above).

2011 Toyota/Subaru RWD Coupe

These are very first shots of the Subaru and Toyota joint-developed rear-wheel-drive coupe. The test mule seen in the pictures looks like it’s sporting many body parts from the Legacy, although it’s apparent that coupe is much more compact in dimensions. We’re not so sure about the platform but in a previous official statement issued by the two Japanese car makers, the yet unnamed coupes will be based on an all-new platform with power coming from Subaru’s range of boxer engines 2.0 and 2.5 with a STi in the future of the line up for Subaru.  Continue for more shots…
