Audi scored its second straight 1-2 finish in the American Le Mans Series, as Marco Werner and Lucas Luhr scored a 2.463-second win in their diesel-powered R10 TDI over the sister car of Marcel Fässler and Emanuele Pirro. Werner passed race leader David Brabham on Road America’s long front stretch for the lead with 20 minutes left.

Ever since Tata motors bought Jaguar and Land Rover, Ratan Tata the boss of the Indian corp has been thinking of different ideas, and as he would always respond to the slightest idea to better his products, recently in Tata general meeting he has mentioned of plans to bring Jaguar back to 24 Hours of LeMans and eventually to ALMS.  We would love to see Jaguar back in LeMans…

Stuttgart. After the road-going Porsche Cayenne and 911, now the sports prototype RS Spyder profits from direct fuel injection technology (DFI). The new engine, with which Porsche underlines its role as technology leader in energy efficiency, celebrated its race premiere with a victory in the American Le Mans Series: On the demanding Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Timo Bernhard (Germany) and Romain Dumas (France) won the LMP2 class.

Here at www.CarsPortals.com we are big fans of LeMans and ALMS series and we are glad to report that David Brabham did it again. Another late-race pass meant victory in the American Le Mans Series, this time a historic first overall victory for Acura and Patrón Highcroft Racing. Brabham passed Penske Racing’s Timo Bernhard with 90 seconds left Saturday to win the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix with Scott Sharp at Lime Rock Park. Continue for the Full report
